Thinking Allowed!
Dr. Jeffery Mishlove: Many theoretical physicists such as yourself have studied the Sanskrit tradition. Many of the great physicists, have made a point of it.
Dr. Dean Brown: Yes, Physicists like the Sanskrit tradition because the cosmologies that were written down, how the universe came about, apply pretty much today.
Dr. Jeffery Mishlove: There is a sense among physicists today that the precision, the rigour, the depth of insight among the ancient Sanskrit wise people, the Rishis, speaks to us today, to the scientific mind.
Dr. Dean Brown: Oh yes, very much so, the stories told about Oppenheimer, when he saw the first nuclear blast, and the press asked him, what were you thinking when you saw the first atomic bomb, and he said well I was thinking of the 'Dance of Shakti'.
Dr. Jeffery Mishlove: And as I recall he used a quote from the Bhagwad Gita to describe the atomic bomb, "Rider of the 10,000 Suns".
